Bill Gates has claimed the world’s first ever driver to drive a V10 car has won the Daytona 500.
Gates, who is also the first man to drive an Aston Martin DB10, was part of a field of eight cars that entered the race at Daytona International Speedway.
Gates had to retire at the first corner after he ran into an oncoming car.
The man who started the world to see motorsport return to its roots is still the driver for the cars, but Gates said he would love to drive one himself. “
This is something we’ve been dreaming of for a while now.”

Gates has been working with his son Bill to bring back the sport.
He is also keen to try to get a V6 Supercar to compete in the next season’s FIA World Endurance Championship.
Gates said: I’m very excited that I’m able to have the chance to drive in the championship.
“I know the people at V8 Supercars want me to race in the series and to do that, I think it would be a great tribute to the sport and its heritage.”
I think it’s a fantastic platform for people to see the sport grow.
“You can see the technology and how fast it can go and the amazing cars and how good they are.”
Gates said the cars were made from aluminium and carbon fibre, but the best thing about it was the sound.
He told Motorsport.com: “The sound is so amazing.
You can feel the torque coming off the car and then it’s just a fantastic car.” “
It’s not going to take off because of the weight.

Gates also revealed he will have a special team behind him to try and make sure he stays in the sport’s top position.
He added: “I’m not going anywhere, I’m just going to keep trying to do the best I can.”
