Mugshots released Wednesday show the former New Jersey governor, former secretary of state and U.S. senator from New York.
Gates was indicted by a grand jury in April on charges of conspiracy, obstruction of justice, wire fraud and money laundering.
He was arraigned on Monday in New York City.
His sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 21.
His wife, Dorothy, and son, Mark Gates, are expected to testify before the grand jury on Tuesday, according to a statement released by the U.C.L.A. School of Law.
The former governor was indicted in a New Jersey indictment and pleaded not guilty.
He has denied wrongdoing.
